Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of MTG Card Keeper (“we,” “us”). MTG Card Keeper is a browser app for tracking a Magic: The Gathering collection. Optional Google sign-in and Google Drive sync are available.

By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.

No account on our servers

The app runs in your browser. We do not operate a server that stores your collection or your Google account details.

Your data, your risk

Your collection stays in this browser and, if you connect Google Drive, in this app’s hidden Application Data folder in your Drive. That folder is not shown in the normal Drive file list. We do not receive a copy.

You are responsible for that data. It can be lost if you clear this site’s data, switch browsers or devices, hit a sync problem, lose access to Google, run out of Drive storage, or if a later version of the app cannot read an older file.

We strongly recommend that you keep periodic backups of your collection somewhere you control. Do not rely on this app or on Google Drive as your only copy.

Google is Google

Google sign-in and Google Drive are Google’s products. Google’s terms and privacy policy apply to those services. We are not Google. We are not responsible for Google’s services, outages, account rules, or storage quota.

As is

The app is provided as is and as available. We make no promises that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or secure, or that your data will not be lost or corrupted. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We make no guarantees that card data, legality, or pricing in the app is complete, current, or correct. Do not use it as your only source for rules, market value, or buying and selling decisions.

If something goes wrong

To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost data, lost profits, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, even if we were told they were possible.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the six months before the claim. If you paid us nothing, that amount is zero. Some places do not allow these limits. In those places, the limits apply only as far as the law allows.

You can stop anytime

You may stop using the app at any time.

To remove data this site stored in your browser, delete this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings (for example, Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Delete browsing data, or Site settings for this site). Other browsers have a similar control under Privacy or Cookies and site data.

To remove this app’s hidden Drive files, use Google Drive on the web (this control is not in the Drive mobile apps). Open drive.google.com → Settings → Manage apps. Next to this app, open Options and choose Delete hidden app data. You can also Disconnect from Drive there.

To revoke the app’s access to your Google Account, open Google Account → Your connections to third-party apps & services → this app → delete the connection. Disconnecting access does not always delete hidden Drive app data; use Manage apps for that.

Who owns what

We own the app: its code, design, and the MTG Card Keeper name. You keep your rights in your collection lists and decks. Because we do not receive that data, you are not granting us a license to it.

Card names, card text, card images, mana symbols, and set symbols are property of Wizards of the Coast. Card images are loaded from third parties such as Scryfall. Catalog data is compiled from third-party databases. We do not claim ownership of those materials.

Acceptable use

Use the app to track a collection you are entitled to track. Do not try to access someone else’s collection or Google account, interfere with the app or Google’s services, or use the app to break the law or other people’s rights—including Wizards of the Coast’s rights. Do not present the app as an official Wizards product.

Age

You must be at least 13 years old to use the app.

Payments

Some features may require payment or a subscription. Before you pay, we will show the price, what you get, and—for subscriptions—the billing period and how to cancel future charges. Payment may be handled by an app store or a payment processor; their terms apply to the charge itself.

Canceling stops future charges. Except where the law or the payment provider requires a refund, amounts already paid are not refundable. Taxes may be added where required.

Privacy

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the bottom will change when we do. If you keep using the app after an update, you accept the new terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app.

If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If a court or other authority finds any part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies. That part will be adjusted to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable. If it cannot be adjusted, it will be removed, and the remainder of these terms stays in effect.
